Ive been reading with interest the under £50 thread and there are some cracking watches on there but i'm after something for my gf.

she's starting a news job as an air steward and i want to give her something nice. she wears a rectangle style watch at the moment that came from next but it has a chunk taken out of the top, she might wear a round faced watch but it can't be a huge faced style watch.

any help from you guys would be great.

Skagen are good bang for buck.

Avoid any of the tat fashion watches though, as she'll be flogging these on the duty free.

Could I suggest maybe a nice leather document holder for her ID's and passport and things? I work in an airport, and am surrounded by watches all day long. She might be wanting to change her £50 snotter to the standard D&G bling monstrosity they all worship.

Skagen good and shiny and very thin.

I bought my OH a watch last Christmas and ended up with a Citizen for £50 in "man money" (I.e. Not £50 at all).

There are some decent (quartz) Citizen and Seiko at that price, check Amazon. Or is she the kind of girl who would prefer a pink BabyG, or an Ice/Toy Watch?

as she'll be flying with a major international british airline company she's (I'm) after something simple, not showey or bling-tastic, so something classic yet not chavey. the strap style does'nt matter.
