I'd guessing it needed the wider track for packaging reasons? It would certainly be better looking standard, though. If i had shoehorned a big V8 into a tiny car it would look as stock as possible for maximum giggles

Look at the track, they will have fitted the drivetrain from something and will want to keep the modifications to a minimum and also to fit wide tyres under a standard car would mean the diff would be close to the tyres.If i had shoehorned a big V8 into a tiny car it would look as stock as possible for maximum giggles
