E46 when is an inspection 2 due ?

Just looking to buy an e46 and I'm confused about when service 2 is due car says due in 2500 miles it had an insp 1 in sept 2009 is it subject to a maxim interval of 2years ?

In the owners manual it says a max of 2 years between services. If it had an inspection I in Sept 2009 the it will be due an Oil Service in Sept 2011 and going by time again a Inspection II in Sept 2013.

Any idea on main dealer costs for an oil service only I'd dine separate from the ins 2 will help with negotiation
