IIS and Zone Alarm

I think I am being a bit of numpty here - I am trying to run some asp.net example pages from a book I am reading (Application Development using C# and .net) and I can't get any of localhost pages to load if I have my Zone Alarm Pro running. I guess there is a setting I need to change in ZA ... has anyone any experience of this.

any ideas gratefully receieved before I enter a :bashHeadAgainstWall frenzy

also if anyone knows of any good books to help in working out how to migrate a VC MFC application to asp.net, as I am slightly overwhelmed with the task of rewriting 8 years of code !!!!

IIS ZoneAlarm problem was due to bug in version 5 of ZoneAlarm - have reverted to 4.5 and it is now working

hmmmmm the zonealarm guys are no doubt drinking my upgrade fees down the pub.
