BILLY CONNOLLY is on the road again.
The comic is travelling the world's most famous highway – Route 66 – for a four-part ITV1 series that starts on Thursday and the 68-year-old Glaswegian will take his motor-trike along all 2,488 miles of the road.
The Big Yin will see the Grand Canyon, the deserts of New Mexico and Arizona, the beaches of the Pacific and the madness of LA.
Along the way he meets disciples of Route 66, from seasoned "roadies" to first-timers living the American dream.
Billy said: "Ever since I was a wee boy I have fantasised about getting my kicks on Route 66. We're going to meet lots of people and see lots of things."
