Thu 17th is a bad one as its the England v Switzerland game so i dare say most folks will not be driving as we will need copious amounts of alchohol to remain calm

Not being English, I wasn't aware that there was an association football fixture in a clashing position with Thursday night. Ah well, most popular looks like being Monday 21st. I'll amend the first post to match.

Jim,

From my perspective, I organise the meet to be at a pub because it is a convenient place to hold it. They serve (good) food, refreshments (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), have space for 30+ people (including parking) and don't mind if some wish to smoke.

I can see where you are coming from, but there aren't many other places to hold this sort of thing other than the local MacDonalds Drive-Thru.
