Diff Qeuries again...

Can anyone tell me which differential I have on my 95 Chim if it has a T5 box & Serpentine engine?

Also recommended oil /viscosity/spec?

Not without looking they can't. Could be either the BTR or GKN as the change over was around that time. There are pictures of the two types in the bible. At a guess I would say a GKN but no guarentee.

Most Diff rebuilds are not DIY as they require special tools etc which most people don't have access to.

Most common problem is the mounting bushes and bolts. Make sure they are tight with no movement.

Mine used to do exactly what you describe after a hot journey. It was a buggered Crown Wheel and Pinion (not mating properly when they got hot). It was a GKN which I was told are hard to find replacement parts for.
