Just to say 'nice one' for sponsoring Dave Beck Racing and the pro bike - keep it up! I was at the Euro finals at Santa pod over the weekend and the guys did a great job. Spoke to Dave a few times, nice guy and has some bottle riding the bike down the track the way they do! He was 'going for it' (his words) late on saturday evening following a clean up after a shower when his gear selector broke mid run - shame! Still set some good times during the event though.
Never saw one TVR the whole weekend (even travelling there and back from Newcastle!) so it was nice to have some sort of TVR connection...no matter how small the connection!
Anyone interested se here...

Awesome weekend - anyone thinking of attending I can thoroughly recommend it.

Hi Pete, Yup much prefer 2 wheels and the 'wheelie action' [thanks] was what got me into so much trouble and after my last court appearance which lasted 2 days
[I wheelied past an unmarked police car one handed waving] I packed it in and got my first TVR [a griff] and now on my 4th of which I've had for 5 years. Still really miss the bikes though. SPR?

Yeh I miss my bikes too although its been a few years now and I have to say I didn't get any court summons and didn't manage to do anything as unlucky as wheely past the polis! I love TVR's (I have a Griff too now following a Chim 400 and a Cerb 4.2) but there is a slightly reduced adrenaline rush compared to thrashing a bike down your favourite road....its all there, the acceleration, the speed, the noise, the G-forces, the fear and ever present threat of death if you get it wrong!..but all a but watered down a bit. Damn it you've got me pining for a bike again...thought I had kicked the habit. Its hard to explain to anyone who hasn't been there and done it but I guess you will understand eh...

SPR?To be fair my missus is a theatre nurse and stated that if we got married the bike had to go as she had seen enough bikers and bits of bikers on the operating table and didn't want her husband to be one of them...which i get.
SPR = Santa Pod Raceway. Thought you might have been there at the weekend?
Cheers
Just thought i would take the opportunity to lament with you guys, also miss my bike, which went about 9 months before my daughter arrived...and became a 4 wheel pram.....
Have never seen the race bike run, i would imagine it makes mere mortal bikers feel a bit sick...knowing what could happen!!!!
