Please can any owners let me know if they've been charged for this?

My dealer wants nearly £400 to change the engine and diff oil at 1,200 miles

Thanks in advance

Just purchase the 5 year service pack and you wont have to bother about this or any additional servicing and its only 400quid for the 1M.......our dealer even through it in!

I believe most of the owners on 1addicts have been charged. That is of course unless they'd paid the £400 fee up front for 5 years of servicing.....

I paid for the servicing pack too, dealer said BMW used to throw in the first service for free on M cars but that's no longer the case.

BMW are now leaving charging for running in services to the discretion of the dealer unfortunately.

I got stung on my M3, it wasn't even discussed at sales time as I just asumed it was included.

My dealer does it free of charge, but I also got the service pack so that makes it irrelevant.

The gearbox oil should also be changed and the filter cleaned.
