Great North Run
Discussion
Just wondering if anyone is doing it this year?
I am, my first time, hoping to finish within 2 hours but more interested in just finishing and enjoying the event so won't be pushing too hard.
If you're doing it what time do you hope for and how well prepared are you?
I ran quite bit up until my mid 20's (now 31) but work and other interests killed my fitness level off from about 26 onwards, I had a bit of a wake up call last Christmas and decided to try and get back into it.
I started with the Blaydon Race (5.9miles) in June which I completed in 53minutes, and yesterday finished the Wetherby 10k in 52minutes so am quite pleased with that improvement. Now if I could just drop 2 stone or so I'd be flying!
