Recommendation Req'd - Central Locking Solenoids

If you remove the door open push buttons and fit door opening solenoids then you wont need Central locking as the alarm will disable the solenoids when on.... fit buttons on the mirrors or just use your remote....
IVA fail, I believe. There needs to be a manual / mechanical method of opening the doors in the event of a battery failure. That was my first port of call which ended in a "computer says no" moment

Not seen that in the IVA manual...do you know which chapter?
Is that from inside or outside? Inside you have the release handle.

This type (cable pull) works fine with my cat 1 alarm.
Just connect to door solenoid output on your alarm unit (some have a seperate interface)
You need to connect the drivers door only (otherwise the passenger door will open when you don't need it) use a manual button within reach of the driver to actuate the passenger door.
Not these actual ones (though probably adequate) you get the idea though

Combined with these to "just" lift the door clear of the lock when the solenoid is actuated.

Try and get decent poundage solenoids, I had some weedy ones that did the job but needed constant adjustment.
Try > 20Kg pull and adjust them to pull the door actuator to its maximum throw, anymore and you'll find it's trying to pull the lock off the door.

Damned if I know, I couldn't find it which is why I thought it was OK.... however, everyone I spoke to inc the factory said "no". Apparently TVR got away with it due to an external manual over-ride. The IVA manual seems to be open to interpretation, I didn't think you needed a brake fluid warning light if the resevoir was clear & had markings on it... apparently I was wrong there too Is that from inside or outside? FC - Thanks for the idea, but I'm not risking an IVA fail. I'm having some flush fitting buttons made for the external door release and will go with std central locking.
