It works if you apply it right.

Works brilliantly. I haven't used the wipers on my 205 for ages as it has such an upright screen that the rain just beads up and trickles off.
In the Elise you need to be doing about 40 for it to work, but it does.

I just wish they still made the wipes. They were really useful.

Aquapel is better, purely because Rain-X sponsor Brake, the "charity" that thinks cars are worse than Joint Strike Missiles in humanitarian terms. You'll find a lot of PHers won't buy Rain-X because of this, and I'm quite surprised that I'm the first to mention it.

FWIW Aquapel seems to be a little bit cheaper than Rain-X too.

Yep, I love the stuff (though not all the Brake crap - I'll look out for Aquapel when this bottle runs out) - it 'kicks in' at about 30mph on the Focus - the rain just beads up and disappears off the top of the windscreen. Marvellous!

Yep, awesome stuff. Although it breaks down after a few weeks so you need to clean the screen very well or re-apply it.

There are other products out there that last a LOT longer than RainX - try this for example
