set of spiders?

Any recommendations for where to get hold of a new set of wheels? Toying with plan of keeping R888's on one set and road tyres on another.
....Alll sounds like an expensive way to 'save' some money mind!

I have just bought a set off the classifieds on here worth keeping a eye in there, I am keeping the 17" Azevs i have on the car now for track use and doinf the same as you will get some 888's for them when the eagle f1's are done.

If you want a brand new set TVR power do spiders but a heavy wheel for track days better with OZ's or something nice and light and strong.

See you like a bit of spirited driving! Spiders are preedy, but are made of chocolate, i bent two before giving up on them. TVR power had stock if you really want some.

Sadly i agree....i bent one that had to be replaced and have since knocked the front on the middle kerb in carousel at Gurston. Wasn’t that hard but the rim isn’t quite round if you look carefully. Chocolate as you say!

I'm up for recommendations as alternatives....lighter than stronger (ideally) that spiders.....any other ideas?

SP12's are my track rims, 17" fronts steer much nicer, 18x10" rears give you all the modern choices.



18" Rotas all round, my road wheels look better, subjective though.

I have a spare set of 16" spiders if anyone wants them. I bought them for trackday / winter tyres but have never got round to putting any rubber on them. PM if you want them.

How do you avoid those monsters hitting the arches??
I had to get the inside of my arches trimmd back and re-glassed to avoid rubbing my standard R888's!

You can get the originals or the adapted 'Silverstone Performance' versions (now via TVR Power I think). I prefer the latter (as they have the writing machined off them) but the former are cheaper and available everywhere (Team Dymanics wheels).

They are a racing wheel from Team Dynamics that have been / were fitted to BTCC cars for a number of years. So I am sure are fine for R888's.

I am not sure if the Power price is for the Cerbera size or a smaller wheel?? But at £599 I think thats a good price as the non modified original ones are not much less than that.

I did some serious cutting and glassing to get them under, Orrible job.

Now what abotu rim size...I assume 18's but wonder about this ideas of smaller on the front or smaller all round. What are the pros and cons?

The guys at SP commissioned some wheels from Team Dynamics ie remove the lettering and some some machining (I guess) to get the offsets perfected for TVR. Demon Tweaks and others can supply the originals but as said before if Power do them for £599 then its a no-brainer.

I got my SP12's from Silverstone Performance and then ACT took over the supply (didn't know Power did them too). What colour are you after? I know where there are some anthracite 18" for sale - although I am just contemplating them for my blue Cerbera, so I may not tell you where they are .
