Cairo - anyone been recently?

Mrs Tosser and I are booked to go to Cairo at the end of October.
All done with airmiles and hotel points so no penalties for cancellation.

I have been watching for foreign ofice alerts etc but so far nothing advising not travelling but the attack on the Israeli embassy last week got me wondering again.

I am looking forward to the trip, pyramids/museum/trip to El Alamein etc.

Has anyone here been recently, if so how was the general atmosphere, restrictions ?

Also any general advice - I am quite travelled through working overseas but specific advice is always welcomed.
