Alternator wiring
Discussion
Hello all, I need a bit of help from anyone who has a serpentine engine to identify which wires go on the alternator. I know there is a thick brown cable that connects to the 100A fuse and a smaller brown/yellow stripe cable that has a captive nut type terminal that is unique to the alternator connections but i think there may be a third connection via a standard spade connector. Would one of you helpful chaps have a quick look at your alternator please.
Picture of the brown/yellow stripe cable that has a captive nut type terminal.

I have this spare connector with a white/grey stripe with a spade connector

This one is for something else altogether, not the alterantor as far as i can remember.. One black wire and one black/purple stripe, any ideas.

Thanks in advance.
Andy

Wiring from the right handside of the alternator, looking at the back of it....
right hand side - 13mm nut holds the main power lead.
Middle - the captive nut connection as shown in your photo
left hand side - has a single spade connection. this is connected after the plastic alternator cover is attached to cover the two connections above. Not sure if its the one on your photo though as mine has its own separate plastic cover over it. Im also away from my car at the min so cant give you wire colours (sorry).
The plastic black twin connection is a spare on my serp Griff.
