My rx8 would have easily topped that. Lucky to get 25miles per 1/8, dropping down to 20miles per 1/8. of really pressing.

The guage on the Chim bears no relation to the contents of the tank....probably just as well wink

Fair point! My Rx8 a few years back did about 140 miles on a tank (the day of the prodrive day).

Anyone else getting a fked up picture with green lines on it?

My Mighty Focus CMAX seems to do something similar, the top half goes down a lot quicker than the bottom half

Yeah my RX-8 was about 20 miles to an 8th. Very depressing to watch.. would beat that easily.

Yes to the green lines... And the thing happens in my focus.
I thought it was me to be honest

Similar nominal economy can be managed, but not by relating to fraction of a tank size owing to having a proper sized one fitted instead of the ridiculous Focus-sized thing the Six has. biggrin

me too, corrupt image file! frown

As for the fuel, I've burnt it off at a crazy rate, just depends on the driving.

Worst was using an entire tank in a 200 mile journey on an Audi A4 frown

Just part-ex'd a Mk5 Golf R32. I used to brim it with £80 of unleaded and the computer would say 240 miles till empty ...and it didn't often last that 200 miles. eek

Definitely not mine! Brimmed, my fuel gauge doesn't even move from "full" until I have driven ~110 miles. After that, over 50 miles to 1/8th is normal.

Most I have seen it move was during the heavy snow in winter...still 35 miles to 1/8th

Edit: shame my car is just as slow...I need an upgrade!

I was once treated to what can only be described as a telephonic assault from a particularly animated and verbose Northern gentleman.

The subject was the profligate nature of his M6 which on a freshly brimmed tank of super had consumed just over a quarter of a tank whilst on a spirited run to obtain some black pudding.

The distance of said run?

A roughly 20 mile round trip.

hehe

For the avoidance of doubt, I am not complaining - We didn't buy a V10 5.0 car and expect good economy. I have a fuel card, and the other car does 60mpg!
