Advice needed on my fuel pump, its very noisy and past it .Should i go for a up rated pump or keep it standard ..Should i use a well known brand or am i ok with after market..Got so many jobs to do in the winter. Whats the part number ?
Poly bush rear wishbones and diff
change fuel pump
replace fuel pipes in the engine bay and from the tank etc
change the UJs on the prop shaft
remove door cards and centre consul and re colour
Remove the drivers door and investigate a large 9" split just where the door opens to the top inge (think its falling to bits)
change glass top seals on the door..God knows how thats done !
Springs upgraded to 375 450
Gaz nickel shock absorbers sent away and and upgraded to Gaz Gold Mono.
Fix the windsreen motor

I did this earlier this month. Went for a Walbro equivalent of the Bosch pump.
Its a lot quieter.
The terminals were different on the Walbro (ring as opposed to spade).
But to be honest the spade terminals were past their best anyway, so I just snipped them, and crimped on the new ring type.
The fuel pump is in quite a daft palce though, was wondering if anyone had fabricated a cover up for it or something?
The terminals are sitting open to the elements.
At the moment I've just taped up the terminals, and hoped for the best, but now I kinda worry tht will hold the water in?!

Are Gaz doing magic now?

Daz mate, Gaz Nickels & Gaz Monos are a completely different design.
You will need to throw your Nickels in the bin (or keep as spares) and buy the brand new Monos.
OR.... Have you seen the Racing Reds in the classifieds?
I believe Racing Reds are a mono tube design.
Give the seller your old Nickels and £400.00 to get what appear to be low mileage Racing Reds.
Job done & money saved.
