missed full season cleaning chassis/replacing outriggers/painting,started april thinking good wire brush and some paint finished up full body off to make proper job of it.over the moon with chassis/suspension now running again just needs carpets/seats fitting.

yes Proper TVR Purple. Be good to have some pics of the body refitted, see how how looks.

All these threads for body off - I want to do mine but always end up driving it!

hi ill sort some more pics out ,the grey is por 15 (4 coats) the purple is 2 pack straight colour (4 coats)with a couple coates of self etch primer between so two pack would stick to the por, this was all done on total bare metal chassis.more pics to follow, also chassis has now got 1 1\2 gallon of waxoyl in it,totaly filled to brim then rotated on my home made rotissier and drained through 3mm drain holes.

Chassis porn clapwell done, theres something satisfying about totally refurbing the chassis. Once you get all the chassis rebuilt, it will seem a shame to cover it with the body.

i have done some chassis refurbs before, but dont really much like powdercoat as it can chip off and is not easy to repair, however well the chassis is prepped

have considered that if and when the griff needs doing, i might use por and a sprayed topcoat instead, so that it can more easily be repaired if needed.
