Speed reductions in the Solihull / Berkswell area
Discussion
If any of you are familiar with the roads around the Meriden / Berkswell areas, Solihull council are consulting to reduce many of the limits around these country lanes down to 30 or 40 mph.
Whilst I have no problem with these limits in built up areas, some of these changes are on rural roads with very few properties.
If you have any views (for or against) these proposals, there is a very brief feedback questionnaire you can complete on the Solihull council website.
I have made my views known, and think the council should get as much feedback as possible from people who use these roads, and not just a few local residents and 'key stakeholders' whoever they are.

The deadline for feedback is September 27th

I drive these roads most days at various times and current limits are appropriate
From their site "Please note: we have carried out speed checks on all of the roads where we are proposing a reduction in the speed limit. Through these surveys we found that the majority of drivers are already travelling at or below the proposed speed limit, so we are hoping these proposals will ensure that everyone travels at these speeds."
So .. no problem to solve then !!!
Bloody do-gooders, they must be thwarted
