Lets ignore the fact we live in an area where it is rock below 6"inches of soil and have spent ages trying to dig through it and we have a Lab who will spend half his life sat in the water feature.

Are the solar powered pumps worth bothering about or shall i run 240V out to it

Solar pumps are a waste of space, feeble little jet and far too obvious panel. You want a mains powered one.

What sort of water feature are you thinking about?

I have a 6' concrete fountain.

Living up here I am surprised you want a water feature, thought it was part and parcel of our weather living in Scotland, (seems so at least this year). biggrin
