Not sure how the copyright works screen grabbing the Eurodragster coverage...

Some nice pics though, shame about the Impala to wall meeting.

Dan makes a very fair point on the copyright side of things.. Can you take them down until you've confirmed with Tog that he's happy for his content to be replicated in this way..

If they're not removed by 1200, I'll remove them for you.. Happy for you to repost if Tog confirms he has no issue with it..

sorted it pal.
i also gave a bit of a better explanation in the main list as to why i put em up there.
Saved me typing it out basically.
i especially liked the bit written about the steering wheel coming off, which is actually not far off the truth.

i didnt ask permission, but have done since, so no worries.
i think when it comes to "hey lads hey" there isnt much of any kind of copyright on anything on the internet, by putting on the intenet you are putting it in the public domain. So, its open to be cribbed and copied by charlatans like me the moment its on there :-) he he

i guess its down to common curtesy more than anything.
i should have asked and didnt, thats the bottom line.

I think you'll find that Tog will disagree with that particular viewpoint quite strongly

Eurodragster FAQ's said:
Can I copy a news item or picture from Eurodragster.com?

The quick answer is "No", but read on because there are exceptions.

All material on this web site is ©Eurodragster.com. The copy-protect on the News and Event Coverage isn't there for nothing. In addition our sponsors pay good money for our news items and Event Coverage to be published on our pages bearing their logos. Copying news items, pictures or other material from Eurodragster.com without permission is a breach of copyright, we view it as theft, and it upsets us a lot since we work very hard on it. We reserve the right to take the appropriate action - up to and including legal action - against any party stealing our work or that of our contributors.

If you wish to use our material - text or pictures - then please write with your enquiry to editor@eurodragster.com and we should be able to work something out. We are amenable to standing arrangements with serious web sites and paper publications to use our material without having to ask every time - again please get in touch. If you copy our material first and ask afterwards, not only will the answer be "No", but we will demand its removal.

hey all, can we move on from this please.
i took the text down (as a mark of respect) even though i had been given permission to use it.

i do know the ins and out of internet copyright, since 1989 all material is copyright (even if it doesnt show the (c). That is unless it it says words to something like "free in the public domain".
(I know because i have had a company registering for internet royalties on music i wrote in 1994 :-( )

Its gone ugly, my fault. Lets move on.
cheers

In this instance, if you've got the go ahead from Tog then fine. But that attitude is about as wrong as you can get and very likely to get you in trouble in the future. Almost everything on the internet is copyrighted, and can't be used without explicit permission from the copyright holder.

Would you say that to Tog in person? I suspect not, so don't post like that on here..
