camcorders for the in car video shots?

Some seem to be placed on the rear parcel shelf and some appear to be fixed nearer the dash.

How do chaps fix your camcorders in place in your wedges?

Hmmm tried it today but my camcorder doesn't like it. It turns itself off soon after driving off and when i turn it back on it says 'file management system broken reset required' or words to that effect. It's as if it doesn't like all the vibrations perhaps.

Strange..............once reset it works fine, but not in the car.

Hi chaps i've done a bit of searching and it seems that the type of laser used to record to the hard drive on later HD camcorders is just too sensitive to vibration caused when mounted for example, inside a vehicle. Thus causing it to shut down as mine does....................However................................

My JVC Everio also has the option to record to SD card which is much more shock proof. Went for a quick spin this eve in the vRS and it worked fine.

Gonna try it again in the 450 tomorrow methinks wink

Cheers guys

Well recording onto sd card works fine. However.........

In the wedge there was still too much vibration causing poor picture quality using the tripod-wedged-behing-the-seat method.

So......................I knocke dthis up today....
