with Forza 4 only a few weeks away i'm still undecided about what to do first. Hit career mode first to start building up the credits or play some car footie online??? I'll probably end up spending all day on it trying out as much as possible til my hands fall off.

I missed the release and excitement of Forza 3 coming out so i think thats why I'm peeing my pants about this one!! lolthumbupdriving

I am going to build my credits. Mainly because I don't have Xbox Live.

Recently bought an XBox to play FM3 after acquiring all the cars I wanted in GT5, I am looking forward to FM4 & may even purchase XBL membership smile

Thanks, I've been trying to do it on Fujimi Kaido with many different cars, the best I've got is just over 90k. I'm off work next week, so time for one last decent go before FM4.

Excuse me ignorance, and see previous post about my FM3 experience.

However, what is the point of making cars for your store front etc? Dont get me wrong I love painting and stickering up my cars, but these are for my enjoyment only, as for tuning, well my (600 PI A-Class) Ferrari F430 "Scuderia Challenge Stradalle" has taken me hours of racing with minor tweeks to get it feeling just right. Surely you cant just pick a car, "tune it" and pass it on as well developed/set up etc?

Again, excuse my ignorance, this is not a dig, this is a general question from someone who has recently acquired an Xbox, FM3 and is yet to experience the online side of things...

If anyone needs me to send them a drift tune for a 350z that I got 120k after a few goes with on Kaido then I will. I struggled to get 80-90k with loads of cars then I downloaded this tune and it was incredible!

I will play online straight away, playing single player is a bit boring for me.

It's a great way to earn credits for 'nowt' or at least recover some credits for the time you've spent tweeking and tuning.
For example, I spent a long time building an R3 class tuned Audi R8. It didn't have expensive mods, just loads of suspension tweeks and a bit more power giving it really sweet neutral handling. It was an easy car to drive to victory in the R3 championship. So I bashed it out for 20k and sold loads of them: Logging in to find another 200k credits for your work is a really pleasant experience, and people tend to try a few other tunes too so you get repeat sales and build up a customer base!
I also did The 'evo' livery for a 350Z in Forza 2 and earnt a tonne off the back of that, plus little nurburgring decal sets for people to put on their cars and other silly stickers for people to put on their own cars.
It's just fun, part of the community - you can set up your own tuning house or paint shop and earn some extra credits for your skills.

I see, that does sound pretty fun smile

I guess I am just a bit OCD when it comes to set ups, obviously cars need to be set up for each race track anyway so getting it spot on for every driver for every track is just impossible. My F430 Mungrel gets tanked by my little 4X4 Fiesta RS (although it does top out at 115mph) around certain tracks!

I love painting cars, I have made some really nifty stuff my self (Castrol XKRS, Union Jack Race Sagaris, ISF UK Police Car etc) I may just have to get online and see if others agree smile

Unfortunately I'm a crap driver on Forza and due to my job am rarely about in the evenings for PH online races, however I enjoy tuning and painting and love it when I see my tunes appear on the leaderboard (I've had 4 or 5 in FM3). Often I will work with one of the PH 'racers' to tune and retune a particular car until they are 100% with it.

And yeah sometimes I can pick up a car and within 30 minutes produce a very competitive car, hence why when I was around in the evenings my 'one car one tune' evenings or the '30 minute build and tune' evenings were so popular.

I'll probably just plough straight into the single player to amass some credits, then play online forever with my friends who'll all be getting it on the same day. I wonder if you'll have to do an hour of all the stupid Sidewinder tracks in SP before you get onto any of the proper circuits!

I love Forza release dates, always near my birthday and those crisp autumn days… spent shutting the blinds and buying cars biggrin

Will be straight on career mode for the majority of the time until I get to the highest level. Will then venture online I guess.

Gonna be really sad and take the Friday off work (hopefully Gamestation will have delivered my copy on the Friday).
First up, career in the best of whichever sheds are on offer at startup, then earn some credits and visit Toyota for an MR2 sc, more career until I can get the 2-eleven, then maybe try to get a JPS livery up on the storefront early doors (my FM3 JPS 2-eleven is my highest rated paint, usually on the first page, which is rewarding in a geeky way!).

I think FM3 paints carry over to FM4.

I dnot think paints get carried over just vinyl groups.
I shall put what I can on my store front, do some racing and tuning and start my quest to become a recognised tuner. Won't be as easy with car clubs though

Oh and I've booked the entire week off work hehe

I've certainly read that your vinyl groups can be carried over - didn't know about full paint schemes. Be handy if they did, but it would rely on them using the FM3 3D models (which wouldn't be a bad thing, it's not as if they'd be porting last Gen "standard car" models like a certain PS3 title I wasted £60 on a year or so back...).
