Typhon driven by someone called Ben...

Anyone spot the damage?

I got a phone call from Rob in the passenger seat of Ians Cerbie (with the flag on the boot) to say the Typhon had been rear ended by a Porsche!

Looks like they did a good repair job.

Sure was ...and it was an awsome experiance!!! Can I do again next year????? lol

Alan.

p.s. the story behind the Typhon is that we all accelerated away to keep up with the police motorcycles (as you do - this was the pre-parade going the 9-ish miles back into Le Mans) and there was various concetine effect which made us all brake, bascially the whole parade braked from a fairly rapid pace and I stopped way short in front of the other cars and so did Ben in the Typhon behind me...but there was a porsche behind Ben (didnt know who he was at the time) and he didn't...brake I mean! He locked up his brakes and lots of smoke then screech of brakes and then 'bang', he hit the back of the Typhon! It just bent the front diffuser upwards onto the exhuast and bent the exhuast a little.

The porsche driver...wait for it...was the Parade organiser!!!!! lol

...oh and a funny story after! We were waiting in the holding area with all the other cars and drivers and we decided on a TVR photo with Ben in the centre...well, think it was Big_M, asked this guy standing around to take a TVR pic for us...Ben shouted out to the guy 'well he owes us one' not knowing that the wasa the organisier that crashed into the back of the Typhon...hilarious! lol
Alan.

Us and the grey typhon took a load of video of each other overtaking on the way down from Caen. Will have a word with the guy to make sure it's Ok to post some of it up.

Probably not.. ever sat in the back of a Cerbie!?!

One woman looked very surprised to see two of us in the back... and even more so when we shouted that it we were both six foot four!

Still, proved beyond a doubt that the Cerbie IS a four seater..

I was the lucky bloke who got to drive the Typhon down to Le Mans from Yorkshire. 375 uneventful miles including a spirited drive down from Caen with 6 Porches and a black Noble and not a scratch on it. 10 mins after handing it over and look what happens!!

Must have been retribution from Porche for me leaving them well behind in my rear view mirror.

Damage isn't too great with a cracked carbon fibre spoiler and dent to the exhaust. Wouldn't like to pick the bill up though.

The car was looking nice though after some autoglym polish courtesy of me...even Ben lent a hand, think we have a good pick to prove it

Shame about the shunt...have to say couldn't believe it when I heard the screech of tyres and shunt behind me...but pleased to see it arrive, if a little later then planned, for the parade.

Alan.
