Not sure what the right section is for this post, so Mods, please move accordingly.

Moved home a few weeks ago, started on unpacking the dreaded garage boxes and found these

They're grippy seat covers designed to protect your interior from the scuffs and wear-and-tear from baby car seats, especially designed for leather seats.

I never used them in the end, so they're boxed and brand new. I think they're about 3 years old or so, but as said, have never been opened, even to check contents.

I have no need for them any more so wanted to give them away to anyone who had a use for them. First come first served. I have two, so if first poster only needs one, will happily split. All I ask is to drop a couple of coins in a charity tin of your choice.

Did you, once upon a time pay money for them?

edit - And how do you crash test them?

I did indeed. I had an interior retrim done on my car and wanted to "protect" them for when I took my kids. Then realised, I didn't really care about the interior that much. AS for how did I crash test them. I haven't, but just tell me when and I'll throw them at your head to check.

hehe

I presume it's there to mean compatible with side airbags, but really, they're just like cushions on the seat so I don't see how relevant that is!

Oh. I can see the reasoning behind it.

Pay £1200 for a retrim and then cover with a cheap poundland item.

Brilliant.

I'd be more than grateful for a pack - my god-daughter's car seat is in and out the back of my Alfa like a yoyo and I currently use an old tea towel to protect them. I'd be more than happy to donate to the local children's charity - god-daughter's mum and I both volunteer at the local charity panto so would be more than happy to give them an extra fiver, if that's ok?

I would find these useful and will happily give one of those dogs outside a butchers shop some coins in return.

(Thinking about it I can't remember the last time I saw a fibreglass golden retriever outside a shop... hope they are OK)

One went to the previous poster, but the remaining one is yours if you're still interested. If so, e-mail me your address and I will pop in the post tomorrow too

Unfortunately, no. But now both have gone, so I suggest you get back to looking out for greasy man-hole covers.

Maybe if I had been quicker, I could have carried these around with me, dismounted and layed them over said cover. Rode over them and collected them afterwards.

You have more time on your hands than I do. Well done.

@ Nemesis. What do you mean about the two half-links in the bracelet of my watch?

Fas1975 - many thanks, picked the package up from the Post Office this morning, looks perfect to keep seats safe and possibly catch any rogue liquids and solids smile

Cheers, you're a gent.
