Chain finally complete - shopping for appliances help
Discussion
Hey all
Finally the chain has is complete on me and my g/f's first house together (both first time buyers), we initially put an offer in back in July and had it accepted 1 week later, roll on August and it fell through after the house we were buying, we agreed if the vendors of the house we were buying found somewhere new to buy soonish, then our offer would stand, Roll on another 2 months to now, and finally an offer they put in has been accepted and the chain is complete. All should be ok (touch wood) now as the people who are moving out of our house are moving into an empty house. With the added bonus both houses are under the same estate agent.
We've asked for a moving in date of the 21st Oct, should be achievable, the survey has been done, money ready to go etc,
With that in mind we have now been looking at buying some stuff for the house, or at least having an idea!, as we are literally moving in with nothing, no furnature / beds / electrical goods / fixtures and fittings etc etc.
With the deposit and that taken into account we have about £11000 to spend on kitting the place out etc, with £1000 of that going on a Fridge / Freezer / Washing Machine and a slimline dishwasher (House doesnt have one fitted at the moment, want to look at installing one).
I've read the topic on Beko Fridge / Freezers and taken it into account, and also looking on AppliancesOnline have found them to be the cheapest.
I've posted some pics below on the ones i'm looking at, (All Silver as we want uniformity). Does anyone see any problems. or experienced problems with the below items??
Any info would be appreciated whether i'm bieng OCD / Mad to get All the same make and especially Beko???
Beko ZA630S Under Counter Freezer £152 - Has Good Reviews on AppliancesOnline etc.

Beko LA620S Fridge £149 - Matches Freezer

Beko DE2542FS Slimline Dishwasher £190

Beko WMB71442S Washing Machine £261

Thanks

ha!, cheers, yea i previously looked at hotpoint, however for their freezer (RZA34G) apparently people were saying in the reviews it was too loud, and had to be defrosted every month??.
We have to have under counter fridge/freezers as thats the design of the kitchen, therefore kinda limits to what we can choose

We did the same in buying Beko, but only needed a fridge, freezer & dishwasher. Again we wanted the same make to keep them looking all the same. The kitchen needs replacing so we wanted just cheap stuff as HID will want new stuff with a new kitchen, but its all been working fine. We purchased ours from Comet (risky I know), but they delivered on the day we moved in & at the time did an offer on buying three appliances of the same make. This site is useful for price checking including voucher codes. Hope your move goes well.

Hi
Like you, me and the missus had to buy everything from the ground up about 2 months ago. We bought practically everything you have suggested aside from a Beko fridge freezer single unit with a water dispenser.
Personally I wouldn't buy anything until you exchange as it CAN still fall through. We ordered ours upon exchange from appliances direct and agreed a date for when we moved in to be delivered to the new address.
When the dishwasher was delivered it was smashed, we didn't check until a day after but a quick call and we had a new one in a day. Thumbs up from me.

makes me feel a bit better now im not the only one who wants uniformity, and others also have & liking beko stuff, I won't order until next month, when we sign the contracts, i think most places nowadays can deliver from next day, and take as long as 3 days etc.
i would like a single unit, bieng 6 ft 4 i like my fridge at head hieght, however it would mean taking out cupboards etc etc.
