If any one can tell me how to edit out the wind noise and increase the engine noise on the original movie clips I'll have another go. I'm using Movimaker.

Good effort

I can't give you a definite answer for your question I'm afraid, however there is software that may be capable of the task but only to a limited effect. Best just to use wind protection.

But the first thing I would do is turn the music down a bit, especially on the driveby shots

Joe you found the separate audio controls on the Time Line then. I take it that the over the bonnet shots were just wind noise ?. Good choice of music, many thanks for sharing.

Version 2 much better Joe, really good especially the start. Is Liam's chimaera really that loud...?

I've seen people put tape or clingfilm over their mic's to cut the windnoise down. Better solution would be an external mic if you camera has the required input, so you can keep it in the footwell or the boot to cut th wind out but keep the sound of the V8

Unfortunately the camera doesn't have a mic input. I did buy one of those hand held recording machines with the idea of recording the exhaust sound seperately but although it records voice very well it doesn't work at all well on exhausts. I've worked out how to mute the audio on the video clip now so wind noise won't be a problem but I'll experiment with the cling flim for other shots.
