So I'm on my way home from work, pulled up at the 1st set of traffic lights on the A322 towards Bracknell after you get off the M3. I'm sat front of the que, middle of 3 lanes, clear dual carriage way ahead of me, red lights. Interestingly, a lady pulls up to the right of me in her TTS. So I looked over to her with a cheeky grin and she is just looking straight ahead with a massive smile on her face. Game onbiggrin

The lights go green and I gesture to let her go first (someone had to because the right hand lane filters immediately and I wanted to be a *little* bit sensible about things). As you would expect, across a sprint of 0-80mph odd the TTS very marginally pulled away (I'm driving a facelift 2008 reg S3 to give some context). What surprised me was that at about 50mph I look in my rear view mirror to see a black 07/08 (can't really remember cos i was concentrating on what was going on in front!) Golf GTI, no more than 3 car lengths behind us, so I can only assume it was remapped or something because on paper it is quite a bit slower.

Anyhow, on the off chance you are reading this, thanks to both the TTS lady and the guy in the Golf for making my drive home substantially more fun (even if for all of 10 seconds)! - and to the guy, what remap have you got going on with your GTi?? And on the really slim chance that the fit brunette in the white Mini Cooper getting off the A329M at the Bracknell/Wokingham exit is reading this, email me tongue out

I love those traffic lights when 'things' work out, even if there is nobody up for a play I can't resist giving it full beans away from the lights if I'm at the front.

And I did actually stop at 70-80 smile I've not ever heard of someone being reprimanded for doing 70-80 on any stretch of dual carriageway.

It doesn't go up to NSL for a very long way past those lights, so I can imagine at least some slapped wrists for 70-80 in the 50 limit that it is up to the Swinley Road junction - although that combination of dip and bend as you go under the A30 just begs to be taken quicker...

100% agree about the bend under the A30, but we had slowed to a brisk 50ish by this point - I'm actually very surprised there are not far more accidents there with people speeding up in the left hand lane, only to come over the very small crest of the hill and find someone pulling out from that side road on the left as you turn right and dip down under the bridge.
