How to cook sausages in advance?
Discussion
Using an oven only (no microwave) what is the best way of pre-cooking sausages and reheating them, whilst keeping them at their best?
Cook them fully and reheat them in foil?
Cook them and reheat on an open tray?
Part cook them and finish them on the day?
Other?
I want them to be succulent like freshly cooked, not hard on the outside like those from the hot meat counter of a budget supermarket.
Many thanks

Given they only take c40 minutes to cook from scratch (on 150c without piercing) and would probably requrie 20 minutes reheating, is the aggro worth the 20minute saving in time?
The problem is that I have promised the Manks children sausage sandwiches for breakfast. Mrs Manks glared at me and enquired how I was going to find the time to cook the sausages, that there was no chance whatsoever of her doing it, that she needs to load Johnny's harpsichord into the car and Tabitha is showing her Boa Constrictor at assembly tomorrow etc etc etc.I am generally quite rushed in the morning too, so I am trying to determine the quickest method of serving succulent sausage sarnies.
Yes I have a hob of sorts, we have an Aga so we have one plate that is hotter than the sun and another that will fry an egg in about 5 minutes.
Are we thinking then that just cooking the bangers in the morning is the way to go?

Give them hotdogs and pretend you are on a package holiday.I am generally quite rushed in the morning too, so I am trying to determine the quickest method of serving succulent sausage sarnies.
