Just announced CMD is in Libya with his close Euro friend Sarkozy (or is that Sak o' zeh as some Beeb journos call him rolleyes )

Have a nice time Dave, perhaps you might spot Gadaffi!

dandarez doesn't like Cameron, so this is an attempt at a dig at him.

I had wondered, except it didn't appear to be a terribly successful dig.

Oh well.

I think it's quite commendable. There still must be quite a high element of risk to visit, and to go out there and show solidarity so early on can only provide a boost to the Libyans.

I always thought it was hilarious when they put on a dodgy French accent just for his surname!

You're right I don't like him!
You might be of the same opinion when he achieves his ambition of becoming European President
(to outdo his rival Bliar). Daft? It's uttered a bit round here... in Witney.

He's there to (while we keep sinking further in the mire)

deploy a UK military team to advise the NTC on security

return Libyan assets totalling £500m ($790m) to the interim authorities as soon as possible

make 50 places available in UK specialist hospitals for critically ill Libyans
(if you're UK a citizen and become critically ill... time to pray! Remember, we have no money, we're bust.)

provide £600,000 for de-mining efforts in Libya and £60,000 to pay for a police communications system

all in the hope of some oil in return 'when' stability comes ... now there's a tricky question!)

So we are spending under £1m, with the hope of improving foreign and trade relations with Libya? What exactly are we doing wrong? confused

Goodness me, that's one of the most priceless things I've ever heard.

You really don't have the faintest idea about him do you?

That's rhetorical by the way.

There could be the risk of some awkward questions as to what MI6 was up to.....
