Life and Fate on Radio 4

[aww999]

I love R4, but I am particularly looking forward to this. I had never heard of the book before, but it sounds right up my street, the battle of Stalingrad told through many different perspectives. Banned by the KGB for being (I presume) too accurate, it is meant to be one of the great Russian novels. They are doing an eight hour dramatisation of it starring Kenneth Branagh.
