Costs to build a garage between two others

Hi,

We're after a garage locally but cannot find anything to buy or rent. There's just nothing around. One came up the other day, but it was let within the day!

Upon hearing this, my girlfriend's parents mentioned they have a space for a garage near a house that they let out. They said the space isn't being used and a garage could easily be built there, which I could use.

Here is the space for the garage...



The space is between the garage with the white door and the garage with the brown door. So, my question is, what's involved in doing this and what would it cost roughly? Could probably do a lot of it myself once I know what to do.
