Dear sports car owner or anyone who polishes their P&J,

I wish you much enjoyment but mainly luck that when you park in a public place, if you park it well, you don't encounter aholes who think "It's just a car" or are so pathetic that they cannot control their own vehicle such that it doesn't touch yours.

Yep, I noticed today that someone had scraped their car against mine in a public car park (Tesco). The scrape looks quite high so can only assume it is a 4x4 mother. I may be wrong, and it is a generalisation BUT statistically, it's more likely. Thankfully, my car isn't my P&J.

So, good luck!

Yours lovingly from behind when you're in bed sleeping,

Hoofy

I had a similar experience parking in front of our apartment building -- wake up to find a nice scratch where the rear wheelarch meets the bumper.

My car is pretty old, but last night I actually dreamed about this happening and me having to get out of the car and demand money for repairs from a fat woman who didn't see what the problem was. I wish I'd dreamed of jessica jane clement instead.

PS I must admit though, I always park in the quieter parts of the car park if I go to a supermarket...

She would've still crashed into your car.

To be honest this is something that worries me even in my everyday golf i shop at Morrisons bit I look for th bigger spaces as there are a few on the car park otherwise I park in an end space as close to the kerb as I dare!!! If I'm in the Mini I often consider wrapping it up in bubble wrap

Not sure how bad this is compared to the OPs damage, but someone left a nice scrape down the side of my door a couple of months back. This was also done in a Tescos car park.. while it was parked up for about 5 minutes. furious

I don't take my car to supermarkets while it's busy now, and yes I usually take up 2 spaces.

(Before you complain, about 80% of the car park is empty when I do this)

Hmmmm, what I really like is coming back to a my car to find someone has spat on it. Parking behind a pub is a definate no no since it happened to the BMW and the S2000 (and no, I haven't wound anyone up - last time it happended to the S2000 I caught the guy doing it - he duly wiped if off the windscreen with his jumper... he was part of just some random group of lads walking past???)

Edit for spelling

Tesco's not bad. It's better than ASDA.

Pretty much same thing. I also notice it is above the "bumper" line...

I don't know why I don't these days. I quite like any opportunity to get extra fitness training in.

It's the recession. Waitrose customers have moved to Sainsburys. Sainsburys to Tesco. Tesco to Lidl.

Lidl customers have taken to rooting through bins.

OK, I stole that from a comedian on the radio
