Is it just me or are these two being treated like 'pop-stars' out there?

Just watching a bit of live coverage on RT & France24.

Camara-on [sic] made his speech that I thought was nothing more than an appeal to the crowd. You know, a "thanks very much for coming, we'll be here again next year.... yeahhhhh!"

Sarkozy said little more and I had to watch France24 to get his spiel, before there was his little jaunt into the crowd whilst all his CPOs looked every so slightly a little bit nervous.

What the fk is going on? This is a pop-tour right?

You know, a bit like when Morrissey played at Reading Festival, half the people there thought they were coming to see The Smiths, a few thought 'Hey Morrissey - woo hoo!!!!' and the rest of us seemed to know it was just a crock of st and you'd be better off staying near your tent avec ear-plugs, just staring at the ground whilst necking pints of cheap vodka.

But it does look like a real love-in, Davey Boy and Sarko beating treated like royalty, from their perspective it's a change from the hassles back home.

It beats the fcensoredk out of that Turkish tt Erdogan (or "Doggers" as he is often refrred to by foreigners) and his poncing around in Libya, Tunisia and Egypt.

You only need to check the Turkish daily papers to see the total BS with this piece of work.

PR, plain and simple, both might be faced with greater problems come any elections there.
Still, perhaps in the meantime, contracts can be obtained.
