removal of y-piece clamp

I got a second hand y-piece thats been de-catted and want to fit it but can't seem able to take the clamps off. is there a special trick as to how to take them off. i undid ther screw but cant work out who to shift the clamp without breaking it. any help would be great.

Just give the clamp a tap with a hammer.

I prize mine off carefully with a screwdriver

To fit these you often need to use a tie down strap to pull the y piece and manifolds together.. stands to reason then that theyy may come off easier if you do the same to release the pressure.
