Stelvio trip, where else?

Hello all; I will be traveling to Italy next week with some friends as we have always wanted to experience the Stevio pass. We will be traveling on the Wednesday and returning on Friday ,so a whole day to spare in the middle
Question is what else in the area just HAS to seen, I would welcome any tips or must do`s for the area.

Bolzano is a great city nearish the Italian side.

Well had a great time ,there was a metre of snow at the top of the pass and we couldn`t reach our hotel without a 3 hour detour through Switzerland. Couldn`t be bothered with that so we checked into another hotel 9000ft up. Turns out it was the same one the Top Gear crew had used, quite nice too.The area just has to be seen to be believed.......stunning. I will be happy to return soon.
I think the level of snow fall was something of a suprise even to the locals.

That link just brought back my road trip to Stelvio through the German & Austrian Alps just 2 months ago.
