Has anyone done this before? A few months ago a removed an old built in dishwasher and replaced it, so i assume it is similar, but slightly less complicated due to there being no water pipes?

Easy, possibly you will need an extra pair of hands, and in my case a stool whilst disconnecting the electrical wire from fused spur.

p.s turn off the electrics at consumer box.

Just make sure to read the instructions fully, some have links to be fitted or removed,IIRC, to alter the voltages for different countries.

When I fitted one a wee while back, it was dead easy, becasue it had a three pin plug on it (!)

The one I removed was wired into a spur, but the new one just plugged in. It was a one-man job, and took about ten minutes

^^^^^ That stool tip is a real nugget - I did exactly the same - In fact it is more important (and often easier to find) than an extra set of hands!!

Make sure you fully understand the wiring requirements, some ovens have these little metal connecting pins that you have to screw into place to get the right circuit, did on my last two ovens anyway. Instructions should be on a picture near the connections box or in the paperwork.
