F1 Monza Advice please

Hi all,
Having googled for several hours now i think i have saturated myself with too much info! In essence what i would like to get is some help or advice on going to Monza next year, i apprecaite it is ages away but its for my wifes 40th birthday so i am trying to get all my ducks lined up and see how much i have to start saving. We are more than happy camping, perhaps in a pre erected tent to save on luggage if we fly but as its her 40th and she spoiled me with the British GP this year for my 40th i would like to see if i can make it a bit more special. The only snag i have is that as she is a teacher we would have to do Fri to Mon :-(
Any advice at all would be more than welcome

I went a couple of years ago with my wife and we had a great time. We drove down stopping on route around the Swiss lakes and then stayed in Milan for a couple of days. Got dragged around some expensive clothes shops and some great sites. Driving in Milan was crazy but no dents (although parking was lousy!) The race was great, weather was scorching and having been to most European F1 races now the track side food was typically Italian!
one of my mates has gone this year. He has combined it with a holiday round Europe, but has booked it all himself for a reasonable cost. He did Eurostar to Paris, then Paris to Milan First Class(£80). He rented an apartment in the city rather than pay 300 euros per night.
He is due back next weekend and I will find out a few more details if you are interested.

Fri to Mon will be a problem at the campsite. I think it's still first come first served and is usually full by the Thursday.

Sorry for hijacking this thread 
Just booked a hotel and about to book flights for next year. We're going to be in the Piscina stand all being well.
There's 4 of us and we want to take the first flight out on the Saturday so we catch the qualifying then take the last BA flight from Linate on the Sunday which is 19:10. The race starts at 14:00, say 2h all in including being on the track at the end, will 2.5 hours get us from the track to Linate in time for check-in closing at 18:30?
Perhaps skip the track invasion and make our way swiftly to the Vedano exit onto the shuttle bus to the station?

Well this year #5 Piscina grandstand was €200 euros for the weekend if booking early. It's on the start/finish straight at the end of the pit exit. It's half the price of the other start/finish grandstands.
Hotel rates seem to be opportunistic for the weekend.
We're staying at the Holiday Inn Milan Nord. It's within 10km of the circuit and Linate airport with close rail links. They want €1000 a night for their flexible rate
but I booked using my Holiday Inn Priority Club points. At 15,000 points a night per room it was a bargain compared to the rack rate!
The no-frills airlines haven't released schedules/prices for that month yet, but BA and Alitalia fly there multiple times a day. BA on Opodo.co.uk is £150ish and on BA.com it's £185 return. Alitalia is similar pricing. I'm going to book using my BA miles though I think, got quite a few and at 9,000 miles+£27 it seems mad not to.
