Can anybody give me a ballpark figure to have a portrait framed professionally.

I know a lot depends on frame material, glass, etc but an idea would be useful.

Frame is likely to be 16 inches square.

I've just paid £55 to have a photo framed which was slightly smaller than the 16" of yours. This was with the ability to hang or stand the frame.

Having just got off my arse I can confirm it was a 16" x 12" image.

There's a website where you can design your own frame, mount etc but I can't remember it.

First thing is - do you want a mount? (I sometimes skip this troublesome stage by adding a white border in Photoshop).

I've used these guys - http://www.picframes.co.uk/picture-frames - before and was impressed with the product and service. You have to mount the picture yourself but that's not hard.
