Not a rant about them, just wondering if anyone else had noticed a new trend.

I'm currently getting lots of CVs via our generic careers@ email address from people in Spain, Italy, Portugal and Cyprus.

We all know they are in a bit of economic bother at the moment, anyone else seeing a lot of people looking for careers over here where the streets are obviously paved with gold?

Wheras the eastern european rush was (in my limited view) manual/semi skilled workers, seems to be I'm getting lots of highly qualified people, specifically with MBAs, ITIL and Prince2. Also for IT techie roles.

The couple I've had the opportunity to speak with on the phone were excellent technically but spoken english was so poor we couldnt really consider them for the job, but for back office roles they would be brilliant.

I can see this driving salaries of the white collar proffesional down a fair bit over the next few years.

I was at the 'fighting front' (support) for a few years.

When i did telephone tech support my job was outsourced to India, i then moved to desk top support and then watched indians being 'insourced' to fill such positions.

So, as far as i am concerned this has been happening for years already frown
