I'm desperately trying to contact the bleeding dvla on behalf of my father, whom for some reason cannot tax his car online, over the phone or at the post office.
So now I'm attempting to communicate with the gits and there doesn't seem to be a phone number with a live human on the end of the line.
Does anyone know how the hell this stupid system of theirs works ?
Is there some special code I have to tap in on the automated call ?

mad

It's a lottery. Every button you press seems to give you a different number and then cut you off.

Have you got a Local Office? I just gave up and went there.

I just contact them via the email contact form on the website.

Each time I've used that service, I've had a response within 24 hours.

Much easier than sitting in a telephone queue.

Seeemples!!!

'Local' is an 80 mile round trip, in an untaxed car.

Although obviously I'll take him there and help him get this sorted, trying to send a complaint to them now.
Is there a direct email, nope.
