Another 20% price increase on energy
Discussion
I changed my tariff yesterday saved £200 on the new rates worth switching - same provider different deal.
Were doing the open log fire from gas mainly from an aesthetic perspective but it is cheaper plus middle of winter out wood pile is deep really deep so no matter what gets cut off that fire will be warm.
Make sure you insulate your loft fully the more the better. Then double glazing then latest boiler with highest efficiency.

Have to pay for the eco-bull***t somehow, Al Gore's private plane doesn't pay for itself you know.
ThisIf you think prices are high now wait till all the coal and Nuclear power stations start going offline and all we have to replace them is windmills.

You're right, it's mind-boggling.
Given that demand is suppressed due to the global economic downturn it leaves you wondering how much the increase would be if times were good!
Without a political class off its tits on junkscience and a mass outbreak of hideously expensive and pointless wndymills and other ecoguff, the cost of energy would be more sane. Unlike the politicians responsible for this debacle.Given that demand is suppressed due to the global economic downturn it leaves you wondering how much the increase would be if times were good!
If we were in good times, really good times, it would only encourage more of the same.

i am still completely baffled how most governments seem to have missed the fact that widespread nuclear power is the only sensible option. Not opting for it because it could be hard to persuade (foolish) voters is not a sensible choice either.
It truly is baffling, until you remember the uninformed brainwashed dreamworld state occupied by politicians. As a result, we're facing the nightmare of energy costs going through the roof and dire energy seurity at a time when we need to heat our homes to cope with harsh winters. We'll be seeing even more pensioners, and others besides, buying heavy duty reference books from charity shops at 50p a pop to burn in order to keep warm and avoid hypothermia.
An appalling state of affairs.
