Hi good people,as above really I have a largeish garden about half acre heavily wooded, lawned very steep hill on one side.Anyway I would normally upkeep it myself but my wifes due to give birth any day now and I won,t have time to do it anymore. So how much would a gardener charge to come maybe fortnightly and do the basics? Thanks

Sorry you are too far away or i would have taken it on, not sure of the charges around you way but a guy does around my estate for all the old people and charges £15/hr I believe!!!
I would do it for £10 BTW
When I worked 3 days a week on a private estate it was around £8/hr back in 2007

I would imagine a lot depends on where you are, we pay £17.50 an hour. We are in Ashford Middlesex. Thats every couple of weeks. A proper gardener though not just a chap to cut the grass.

Was that your wife's disgruntled sentiment, or a secret wish of your own? wink
