As I say in the title. There's nothing like a wet, greasy roundabout to keep you honest. I approached this roundabout just outside Aberdeen, thinking, keep it a gear higher than normal, feather the throttle, smooth steering. The back end still stepped out! Luckily the Transit outside me and the car ahead were far enough away. I caught it, but my heart rate went up a notch.

The only time the Tam has ever scared me (exiting a roundabout) was entirely my fault for deliberately giving it some, in the cold and wet if you drive it normally it behaves itsefl perfectly.

The daily drive Impreza on the other hand... I do all I can to unsettle it and provoke it on occasion and it just goes round corners. A bit too capable at times

Yep I remember my first (and only) scare in the tuscan, opened it up in 2nd in a straight line for the first time in the wet- as it came on cam stepped sideways at 50ish. I did replace the rear tyres shortly after since they were past their best. As you say op, keeps you honest and one reason why I love it so much- no nannying whatsoever.

My impreza 360ed on a roundabout for me once, but must have hit some diseal or something as although it was wet, was only doing 20 at the time. Tuscan used to be very good in that respect, never had a slip from it at all.

I had the exact opposite on a roundabout yesterday in the wet, was tooling round it at a steady pace but the car was feeling a little unsettled and loose. Checked the mirror to see where the car behind me was as he'd been on my tail and was surprised to see him doing the first of two 360 spins. Someone must have been to the petrol station down the road, overfilled and then cornered exuberantly on the roundabout and spilt diesel everywhere.

Score 1 for the WRX and smooth driving

You get used to that feeling after a while, I get the back end stepping out whenever I can now! But saying that I did once step out i bit too far in front of Guildford cathedral one early morning, still held it just! smile
