Due to healthy dose of insomnia tonight I've snuck downstairs and switched on a recorded episode of Wheeler Dealers. It's an M3 episode, so I fire up Autotrader and have a look at a few for sale.

Imagine my surprise when I notice the very car I'm looking at online the the same one that Brewer is tooling around in.

I reckon you'd be getting a well sorted car here, if you happened to be in the market for one, as long as it's been looked after since.

I await my flaming.

You must be shocked very easily in that case.

Agreed, it is bad, but they look mostly like Typos to me. We can't all be a literary genius.

I reckon it's a good buy assuming they haven't had it that long, which by the looks of things they haven't. The gearbox was done 5000 miles ago, and was replaced by Ed China on the telly programme. You don't get better proof of a decent service than that!

Be surprised if they could get more than £4k ish for that. Lots about and don't seem to be selling quick.

No, but considering nearly all browsers these days have a built in spellchecker, there really isn't any excuse for such laziness, is there?

Ed mentions twice in the show the gearbox is seconhand and out of scrapcar and you wont get one of them recon for £500 like they paid there about £1200 so it not matter if fitted 5000 mile ago what is the real milige on that box

A good service from Ed China! He's a clown! I wouldn't let him near a car of mine! There's no way he does half the work on those cars, especially the paint work! Most of the panels you see he's painted are near perfect! In a dusty old workshop with no heat! Right! Lol. You see him give it a dust coat, then it cuts to the finished article.

He doesn't know one end of a spanner from the other! It's quite clear to see when you watch him.

Rant over! Lol. wink

I was referring to VeeTEC's post, about knowing the car has had good service due to the fact that Ed China has had his hands on it! wink

And I was referring to your post about Ed China being a clown and not knowing one end of the spanner from the other.

Don't know ed china however have seen mist of the wheeler dealer shows and he certainly doesn't come over as a novice. Infact I'd say he is a qualified mechanical engineer with many years in the business working on cars out of main dealer servicing ie the buggers to work on.

He doesn't do all the painting but he does some - I painted an arch on my car outside on the lawn on a hot summers day finish wasn't amazing but it did the job. For Ed china the proper paint jobs are sent away and rightly so the others are done far far better than I bothered to do.

Biggest surprise for me is the advert makes no mention of it's past !
