We hope that Paul and the mods will allow us to put this up here for a final push over the weekend to help Carl Bart. Our managers at Bounty Lakes are family friends and Carl's plight is desperate, as is it that of his family. His story is told below in his loving mum's words....
We have donated a 3 night trip for 2 to ANY of our Le Mans events in 2012- Moto GP, Le Mans 24 Heure or the Le Mans Classic. Failing that, if a race trip is off the radar next year or if you have already booked AND you are a fisherman, you can substitute that for a superb fishing holiday for 2 at Bounty Lakes.

This is Carl's story in his Mum's words:
My darling son Carl is in a desperate situation. He is at the Bangkok Hospital on the island of Koh Samui, Thailand, in a coma, and has suffered severe brain injury. Carl went to Thailand for an adventure: he had been there for many holidays and he loved it there. He had a great time and was planning to come home. As a family we had asked him to come home sooner, but unfortunately he didn’t. His insurance had expired, we had tried to renew it but it wasn’t possible no company will issue a policy if you are already out of the UK.
Now we find ourselves in this awful predicament. Our darling son was hurt in a road accident, we have no knowledge of how it happened, just that he has serious brain injury, and we have to get him home, but the cost is immense. How on earth we find the money, God only knows.There is no help from the Government, not even in the short term. The state hospital on the island had no facilities to care for Carl he has been transferred to the Bangkok, a private hospital, and the fees are £1200 a day and escalating fast. He’s not well enough to leave yet but when he is well enough to come by stretcher on a scheduled flight we are looking at £35,000 to £45,000, so with the hospital fees of at least £30,000, that’s a lot of money to find. If he isn’t well enough for a stretcher flight and we end up arranging an air ambulance that will be £100,000.
We, his parents, just don't have that sort of money. Although we have been able to re-mortgage my husband's house that hasn't raised enough and, because of our age, paying it back will be immensely hard. We don't expect anyone to have to pay for our problems, but obviously this goes well beyond what most normal families can bear alone so we turn to anyone who can help us. Normally I'm a very private person, who gets on with what life chucks at me, but this is just beyond my realms, this is devastating.
We have been overwhelmed by the kind messages and offers of support from Carl's friends and the various fund-raising activities that have been held and are being planned. If you can do anything to help, through supporting one of the events or making even a small donation, it will be greatly appreciated.
