new mufflers needed

Since my GD mufflers now seem to have started disintegrating (after 5000km) inside accompanied with a very enerving whistling sound
I need to replace them. Is there any recommendation what to be used ?

I Use a Ultima system on my T70 swapped the original Ultima silencers for Flowmaster 40 series 3" in and out slightly flatter and wider. They have metal plates inside hence no issues with re-stuffing, sound better in my opinion but pretty loud. Will see if I have a better picture but this will give you an idea of the shape.

thanks have been to the flowmaster page and saw these flat guys already, so they sound good you are saying ?
I intend to weld them in my existing setup

what T70 is that if you dont mind me asking? lovely motor!

looks like the SUPER 44 from Flowmaster are nice ones, Wednesday we will weld a straight pipe and then when the other exhaust system is out
I will open the old mufflers and see if I can repack them. If not then I will weld the SUPER 44 in.
