Hi Peeps..Well the custom made air filter box is definitely an improvement..The car does actually feel a little bit faster..I went for a blip earlier and stopped three times at various places..Turned off..Got back in..Started first time..bounce..I still need to re-position the ignition amplifier to where i dont know but i do have a fair bit of space now the old air box has gone..In fact enough room for a turbo..scratchchin..What am i saying..nuts..
I can now get on with cutting out my door card templates, Recover and fit..Get my red with black speck carpet..Fit new centre console switches and veneer the new plate thats getting cut..Pick up the seats from a very nice chap who is a wedge owner..Feels like the curse is lifting, Although i will still be cautious..I wont be sending the black cat up the ladder to clean the hot tin roof..Cheers..Ziga.. smile

Taz turbo, tell me about your magic kit! Will the 2.8 take a turbo without beefing up internals? How bad to fit? That and I would need to get it to the US. You certainly got my attention. Thanks.

Hi mate..This was something i was considering and might still do..Apparently certain turbo kits will not fit due to how they fit..ie: Passenger side exhaust mounted wont fit..(So ive been told)..But with fabrication most front mounted turbos will..Also if you keep the boost down so your BHP does not exceed 200bhp then you wont need to do anything to the engine..As long as it a strong engine..No smoke..If you want to go beyond this you will need low compression pistons fitted..I was looking into a Holden 3.8 supercharged V6 as this should fit into the same space as the 2.8 and is actually cheaper than having a turbo fitted..However this type of kit is quite rare especially with a rebuilt turbo and all the needed components..I have put a bid in.. wink

I think the one adam has put up is a bit more but you can pick them up relitively cheap..
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VT-VU-VX-WH-L67-V6-SUPE...

Or have a look at some of these..When you convert to GBP your eyes will pop out your head...It was cost about the same for a turbo..Probably less in some cases..Cheers..Ziga
