Unless of course it is a choice between a car or something terrible happening to a loved one, then of course you can say it, but only then!

I understand your point but, there is a sort of turning point, where, that people survived but the car didn't is the better outcome in many folk's eyes.

I remember the shocking films of the late 60's early 70's like Soldier Blue where women were mutilated and children beheaded (cut from several versions I have seen since)which was normal in those days.
So the film The Italian Job was to deliberately destroy supercars because the makers claimed it had a big impact.
So if you crash you car............thats all it is, just a car.
What to you may be a bunch of flowers at the side of the road, to the families and loved ones is devastation and pain for years to come.

Ok before anybody else jumps on the death/injury people versus cars bandwagon.

I was on about small damage to cars. Car park dents and scratches, general disregard for the car.

Yes if a car full of orphans crashes into a mini bus full of disabled children, and everyone walks away form it ok. Then yes I agree its only a car.

Well, I think we shouldn't issue blanket notices like that, we first have to look at what would happen and just how loved that person is...........
