Had a great day out at Woodbridge yesterday, the weather held off pretty much all day, and the turn out was much better than the previous time I'd been.

Driving standard was pretty good IMO.

I'll try and post some pics and video up later. Anybody else got any?

Tyre shredding and abrasive! Well it was to my Bridestone Potenzas but having a FWD hot hatch didn't help at all either biggrin

First half of video is of our dads driving (Alan & Tony). Their first time driving the car, first time ever on a track. They could have been in a V8 atom and not kept up with a well driven warm hatch. But they enjoyed it, and were getting the hang of it later on.

Look at the second half of my mate Kieran and me, Luke, driving, for a better idea.

Will do,

Must admit I am at a loss to understand why anyone would pay £140 to drive round some cones on a really rough airfield when you can pay £149 OPL at Donington or Brands Hatch.

Planning this on the 22nd. What sort of pit facilities are there if any? Is it likely to shred my tyres?

Pit facilities? Portable loo & a burger van. That's it.

Shredding tyres? Mix of concrete and tarmac, not too bad at all. Just stay on the racing line, as there are loads of stones off of it. Particularly bad on main straight if you pull over to the right to let someone by. Just make sure you're the quickest out there to avoid having to move over!

Following that video I've just booked and have a friend coming in his 'Teg as well. My first track day as a driver so rather excited woohoo

I've always wanted to do Woodbridge again (was my first ever track experience) but worried about the life of my 888's

There didn't happen to be a red Prelude out that day?

(I'll watch the videos now)

Blimey a Gordini 5 Turbo! I recognise that Mk2 from rallying too. (The 'lude is Mk3 IIRC, square at the back and pointy at the front! Quite rapid is Rindy)

Great pics biggrin

Zoe - Yep there was definitely a Red Prelude out. It was a pre Spa shakedown test before the annual pilgrimage. Im pleased to say that she went rather well........smokin

Realise I've slightly missed the boat on this one seeing as how it was 3 weeks ago, but I've just got round to getting the footage of the day off my camera and editing it together.

Turned out quite well I think.

Woodbridge Track Day

There's two more days on 22nd/ 23rd October. Anyone going? The session on the 23rd is allowing timed runs in the afternoon, which I thought would be quite fun. I'm going to keep an eye on the weather before deciding about a week out I reckon- with no shelter in the 'pit lane' it would be pretty miserable in the tipping rain!
